This past week, we had the opportunity to participate in this year’s The Bold New Normal Conference in Accra, on the theme “ Transforming Mindsets, Creating Leaders of Prosperity “ A platform where like minded youth came together to collaborate, network and share insights on how we can take meaningful steps in creating the right opportunities for all to thrive.
Key note from speakers of the conference were;
- The power of positive relationships. Building the right relationships and network that you might need tomorrow.
- The place of humility, to be bold and to make positive impact in the society.
- The place of challenges and what it builds in you to carry on in the journey – “ character, patience, resilience and humility “
- Value, what do I have or carry. Be known for something you do well and nurture it well.
- The place of Mentorship, inspiring and raising leaders to take actions and make positive changes in their communities.
- Skills, what am l good at and new things l can learn in addition.
- Tool’s representing medium, processes, systems or accelerators required to achieve a goal.
- People, the place of serving others
- Choices – Surrounding yourself with the right people or environment has a greater impact on your mindsets, personality and in shaping you. Iron sharpened iron
The conference concluded on the note, the potentials of the youth and the ability to nurture it so we can create the future we desire through bold steps.
A copy of the book, “ The Bold New Normal “ by Mrs. Lucy Quist, the convenor and author was vital in shaping our mindset in the right direction.
Knowledge is as a seed and when planted in the right soil and applied has the potential and capabilities to produce what’s its intended to.
We are grateful for this opportunity and looking forward to the next one.
Happy New Month!
